The world is experiencing widespread ongoing transmission of respiratory illness caused by the novel (new) coronavirus (COVID-19).
One way to slow the spread of viruses is social distancing, staying at home when you are unwell, avoid large public gatherings if they’re not essential, keeping a distance of 1.5 metres between you and other people whenever possible, minimising physical contact, especially with people at higher risk such as older people and people with existing health conditions.
Practise good hygiene, wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water are not readily available, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.
Travelers should stay home (quarantine) for 14 days after returning from travel.
